TCP/IP Suite

• The TCP/IP Suite is very similar to the the OSI Model
  • However, it's far more commonly used and relevant in today's networking world
• Developed by the DoD in the 1960s, and has 4 levels
  1. Layer 4: Application
     1. Contains the Session, Presentation, and Application layers from OSI
  2. **Layer 3: Transport
     1. Equivalent to the Transport Layer layer from OSI
  3. **Layer 2: Internet
     1. Equivalent to the Network layer in OSI
  4. Layer 1: Network Access
     1. Contains the Physical and Data link layers of OSI
